Recipe Ideas: Summer Protein Berry Smoothie

This protein shake is beast. Use as either as meal replacement or a low calorie snack if you feel peckish and fancy something sweet. Delish!


150 ml milk 50ml scoop of vanilla ice cream 15-20 blue berries (can be frozen if you want it as a chilled drink) half a banana (again, can use frozen) 1-2 scoops unflavoured or berry flavoured protein powder 1 tsp chia seeds 1/2tsp honey or maple syrup (optional) Squeeze of lemon Ice (optional)


  1. Bosh the milk, ice cream, blueberries into the blender. If adding frozen banana, chop it up into small chunks and put in blender.

  2. Add protein powder, chia seeds, ice cubes, honey/maple syrup (if using) and lemon juice. Blitz until smooth.

  3. This is best to drink straight away, otherwise it will melt and change the flavour.
